Paduchowski:
Board President
The President shall delegate duties and responsibilities for
the organization's Board of Directors and special committees along the lines
of consensus, or majority opinion, among the board. See that orders and
resolutions of the board are carried into effect.
Shall write the Agenda for each meeting and circulate it to the BOD or
others for distribution. Shall chair, direct and facilitate the monthly
meetings of the VVCC.
Shall sign letters or documents sent by the VVCC, or give permission to an
individual to do so; also will review any correspondence sent out from the
VVCC and its BOD.
Shall serve on the Executive Committee and see that the EC moves forward and
makes decisions on a timely basis in order to keep business moving.
Shall direct the strategic plan of the VVCC so that it is in line with the
Mission Statement and frequently established short and long term goals of
the VVCC. Shall assist the strategic direction of the organization by
insuring the BOD and members are following that directive.
Shall guide individual Board members in the pursuit of their duties and be
available for communications regarding the overall direction of those
efforts. Shall be sure that duties and directions to Board members are
followed through on and provide guidance to those who are in need of
assistance.
Shall serve as one of the primary fundraising voices for the VVCC by
pursuing individuals and businesses for contributions and patronage
donations.
Shall present to the Board a periodic evaluation of the pace, direction, and
organizational strength of the VVCC. Shall direct and delegate issues that
are brought to the BOD to appropriate individuals and committees for
resolution.
Bob
Richards: Vice President
1. To attend any VVCC meeting or event scheduled for
attendance by the President if the President is unable to attend.
2. Shall be the chairperson or a participating member of any special task
force or committee as designated by the President.
3. To assist the President in any other ways that will be of benefit to the
VVCC and are in compliance with the bylaws.
Benny Bennight: Treasurer

Randy
Victory: Cottonwood Coordinator
Coordinator for the Cottonwood Christmas Parade.
Consultant to the Cottonwood Bicycle Advisory Committee.
1. Maintain contact with the City of Cottonwood staff to
assist in finalizing and implementing the Cottonwood Bicycle Plan.
2. Be the spokesperson for the VVCC in Cottonwood activities.
3. Work with other members of the VVCC bicycle community in Cottonwood to
foster activities that promote VVCC ideals. Examples are:
4. a. Bicycle education programs
b. Ride of Silence
c. Mayors Ride
d. Ride to Work week
e. Periodic newspaper articles regarding bicycling and related
activities in Cottonwood
5. Involve other members of the local bicycle community in developing,
organizing, and assisting in any of the above activities or other activities
that the VVCC Board may desire in the Cottonwood area.
6. Promote membership within the VVCC.
7. Delegate the above responsibilities where appropriate.
Doug Copp:
Boardmember
As a board member I attend VVCC board meetings, general
membership meetings, the annual meeting and social events. I participate in
meeting agenda item discussions and vote on issues that arise.
I am a member of the Mountain Bike Advisory Committee. This committee
assists the USFS in creating and implementing a long-term, sustainable
mountain bike management plan that protects, preserves, and enhances the
trail system in Sedona and the Verde Valley. I participate in trail
construction and maintenance work.
I am a Sedona Bicycle Advisory Committee member. I was the principle author
of the Sedona Bicycle Plan and I attend Sedona City Council meetings and
work sessions when issues relating to cyclists arise. I ride a bike
somewhere in Sedona everyday to help raise awareness that cycling is a
viable form of transportation and recreation.
Patrick Wiatrolik:
Boardmember
My duties are as follows --
Keeping up to date on Local Advocacy and rules of the road.
Hold and be a part of community events -- National Night Out, Bike rodeo,
Safety Days, etc.
Be involved with Local Government about Safe Routes to School and other
similar programs for children and adults alike.
Attend board meetings on a regular basis and be an active part of the
meetings.
Thomas McGoldrick:
Boardmember
As a VVCC board member I feel that I am responsible for
helping to direct the club in the desired direction of the membership at
large. Currently this means:
Coordinating activities to increase our membership roster
Promoting, soliciting and engaging in activities that will enlarge our
clubs financial strength
Act as VVCC liaison and ambassador to other regional entities and
governmental agencies (Forest Service, city/county/state governments, ADOT,
etc)
Act as an advocate for the rights of our members as cyclists in the
community
Coordinate educational outreach programs to the community and political
and policing agencies
Assist with overseeing the maintenance of the VVCC website to include
information & news that our membership wants and deserves
Enhancing and coordinating the activities of the club to include increased
regularly scheduled road & mountain bike rides, membership meetings, and
special events which increase the aspect of having fun for VVCC members
Chuck Budden: Public Relations and Grant Coordinator
Public Relations -- To build public awareness of the VVCC
through Verde Valley media sources by:
Building relationships with the various media sources in the Verde Valley
Acting as liaison between the VVCC and media sources to develop and get
placed positive club news, i.e., events, meetings, rides, articles, and
public service announcements.
Maintaining Archive of VVCC published media results.
Grants Coordination -- To secure grants which further the goals of the VVCC
by:
Finding and investigating grant opportunities.
Recommending grant opportunities to the VVCC Board for approval.
Coordinating the preparation and submission of grants.
Acting as liaison between granting organizations and the VVCC.
Coordinating submission of reports as required by granting organizations.
Rick Riedel: Membership Chairman
The membership chairman shall:
Maintain or construct a suitable database by hand or electronically to
keep track of membership status. This entails:
o Keeping track of dues paid, individual, family or
other
o Sending notices when membership is about to expire
o Keeping track of name, address, phone and e-mail when available
o Sending an acknowledgement letter to people who pay dues
Keep a file of signed waivers in case they are needed
Keep track of donations and, in January of each year, send a letter to
each member who has donated beyond the membership dues for use with IRS tax
return
Maintain an address list to facilitate sending mail via USPS in order to
notify the entire membership of important events
Maintain an e-mail contact list to send out notices of upcoming events or
timely news
Send all dues payments to the VVCC treasurer in a timely manner
Send a monthly list of paid members to those bike shops offering a
discount to VVCC members
Send list of members who have offered to volunteer to those chairpersons
who need volunteers
Find ways to increase membership levels
Carla
Riedel: Grants Committee, Events Committee, Volunteer-at-large
Grants Committee: My focus is to assist in obtaining
funding for the VVCC for more bike lanes, signage along roads, etc. to help
our community be safer and more fun for all those who enjoy riding.
Events Committee: I assist in creating events that will bring more
community awareness to safe bicycling in our community.
Volunteer-at-large: I make phone calls, check the P.O. Box, and assist in
any situation I can to further the goals of the VVCC.
Heather Parris:
Secretary
As secretary of the VVCC, it is my duty to attend all board
meetings. I take notes of what has been said, moved and voted on at each
meeting. I occasionally give my opinions on various subjects. I write the
meeting minutes from the notes and email them to all board members in a
timely fashion. I keep all the signed waiver forms from the Friday/Saturday
sanctioned rides, in case we ever have need to reference them. I consider
myself a cheerleader for the VVCC. I thoroughly enjoy the rides I go on
every week and the other people I ride with. I sing the praises of our
organization to any and all who will listen. I am also on the Events
committee where I assist in creating events that benefit the VVCC and bring
awareness to who we are and what we do in the community.
