Kick-off Event of the 2026 - 2027 Season - Let’s Go to Flagstaff

When: Saturday, September 26th | 10:00 AM

Where: Schultz Creek Trailhead (Schultz–Elden Y)

What:

Join the Arizona Mountain Bike Academy and VVCC in Flagstaff for a fun morning of riding and reconnecting after the summer break.

We’ll have group rides for beginner, intermediate, and advanced members.

After the rides, we’ll meet back at the trailhead for a VVCC tailgate with snacks and beverages provided.

Bring a fold-up chair and, if you’d like, a favorite snack to share...because more snacks are always more fun!

Come enjoy Flagstaff’s cooler temperatures, great trails, and a chance to ride, relax, and reconnect with our cycling community.

2026 VVCC Fall Picnic & Poker Ride

Join the Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition for one of our favorite fall traditions: the VVCC Fall Picnic & Poker Ride! Members, guests and non-members are all welcome for a day of riding, food, friendly competition and hanging out with the cycling community.

Poker Rides

We’ll have two mountain bike Poker Ride options. Ride the route, collect your cards along the way and see what kind of hand you end up with!

Route 1: 9 miles | 811 ft. climbing

We’ll have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, plus a prize for the rider whose poker luck just wasn’t there that day.

Prefer pavement? We’ll also have a road ride, with the route to be announced.

Picnic + Appetizer & Dessert Competition

After the rides, stick around for the picnic! VVCC will provide burgers, hot dogs, water, sodas and beer.

Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share. And this year, you may want to bring your A-game. We’re adding an Appetizer & Dessert Competition, with prizes for the best appetizer and best dessert, as selected by our picnic organizers.

Show us your stuff!

We’ll also have a raffle, cornhole and other games, so plan to hang out for the afternoon.

VVCC Members: FREE!
Guests & Non-Members: $15

Not a member yet? This is a pretty good reason to join!

Dead Horse Ranch State Park admission: Free with an Arizona State Parks pass. Otherwise, park entry is $10 per vehicle for one person, $20 per vehicle for 2–4 people, or $5 if you ride your bike into the park.

Sedona MTB Festival Volunteer Extravaganza 2026 (5 Nov 2026)

Please join us for the Sedona Mountain Bike Festival - the VVCC's largest fundraiser of the year!

In addition to the Beer Booth Token Sales, the VVCC will again have a pop-up next to the beer booth with refreshments and chairs for volunteers and members to hangout and relax at the Festival.

As always, volunteers will receive a FREE beer token to enjoy! Sign-up today for a SHIFT, as the SHIFTs fill up FAST!

Here's the full Festival line-up.

Friday, November 6th at 6:30pm and 8:30 pm at the Mary D Fisher Theater. A night of film celebrating some of the leading cinematography and storytelling in mountain biking.

Freehub PRESENTS is a collection of films from some of the best in the business and new up-and-comers alike, all given the proper big-screen experience. Beer sale proceeds will be going to the VVCC. Have fun, while giving back!
