VVCC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. 

 Red Rock Bike Patrol is a NON-ENNFORCEMENT volunteer group whose mission is to ASSIST, EDUCATE and INFORM all trail users in the Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest. 

The Red Rock Bike Patrol consists of 37 volunteer patrollers and is recognized by the National Forest Service as its eyes and ears in the Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest. 

Each patroller receives four hours of instruction, become first aid and CPR certified and must recertify biennially. 

Patrollers must demonstrate the following abilities:

  • Intermediate mountain biking skills
  • Willingness to help other people and be involved in our local trails
  • Learning and sharpening skills like first aid, trailside bike repair, talking to people about our trails and assisting lost trail users, and helping to promote the public perception of mountain biking
  • Reporting trail damage to the Red Rock Ranger district

Last year, the Red Rock Mountain Bike Patrol also supported:

  • 4,000+ patrol hours
  • Dozens of Red Rock Ranger District Trail Workdays
  • Big Park School Bike Rodeo
  • Volunteer Coaches at Oak Creek & Dr. Daniel Bright Elementary Schools' mountain bike clubs.

from the Federal Recreational Trails Program administered by the Arizona State Parks.
