Date: Saturday, October 14, 2023
Time: 8:30- 8:45 rider check-in, ride start 9am
Start Location: Tuzigoot River Access Point, 15 East Tuzigoot Road, Clarkdale (1/2 mile east of South Broadway on Tuzigoot Road). Ride is in the Sycamore Canyon area between Cottonwood and Sedona.
Parking Tip: Park on the east side of the large dirt parking lot (stay to the left as you enter), this section is farthest from the river, near the porta potties.
Ride Details: Choose from two courses. Short course is 29 mi with 1,700 ft of e-gain, while the long course is 37 mi with 2,100 ft of e-gain, both are subject to change. Gravel bike or hardtail mountain bike is preferred, but a full suspension mountain bike will also work fine. Both courses are a little chunky in places but very rideable. The first / last 5 miles of each course are on pavement. Long course feels much harder than the short course.
UHV’s are common on these courses, please be respectful and courteous! Vehicle traffic is generally light.

Strava segment competition: This is not a race, but two climbing segments will be timed to spice things up a little, with prizes to the fastest male and female of each segment. Participation is optional, but to compete you must load your ride to your Strava account after completion to be eligible. Both segments are on the shared sections of the short and long courses (available to everybody). Sorry, E-bikes not eligible.
