2026 VVCC Fall Picnic & Poker Ride

Join the Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition for one of our favorite fall traditions: the VVCC Fall Picnic & Poker Ride! Members, guests and non-members are all welcome for a day of riding, food, friendly competition and hanging out with the cycling community.

Poker Rides

We’ll have two mountain bike Poker Ride options. Ride the route, collect your cards along the way and see what kind of hand you end up with!

Route 1: 9 miles | 811 ft. climbing

We’ll have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, plus a prize for the rider whose poker luck just wasn’t there that day.

Prefer pavement? We’ll also have a road ride, with the route to be announced.

Picnic + Appetizer & Dessert Competition

After the rides, stick around for the picnic! VVCC will provide burgers, hot dogs, water, sodas and beer.

Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share. And this year, you may want to bring your A-game. We’re adding an Appetizer & Dessert Competition, with prizes for the best appetizer and best dessert, as selected by our picnic organizers.

Show us your stuff!

We’ll also have a raffle, cornhole and other games, so plan to hang out for the afternoon.

VVCC Members: FREE!
Guests & Non-Members: $15

Not a member yet? This is a pretty good reason to join!

Dead Horse Ranch State Park admission: Free with an Arizona State Parks pass. Otherwise, park entry is $10 per vehicle for one person, $20 per vehicle for 2–4 people, or $5 if you ride your bike into the park.
