Why This Ride

Big news: Copper Chief is DONE and now fully connects to the Black Canyon Trail—and Quail Springs is DONE, linking directly into Copper Chief. This ride is your chance to experience these fresh connections in one of the most scenic riding zones in the Verde Valley.

Expect expansive views of Sedona, the San Francisco Peaks, and the entire Verde Valley. The terrain is non-technical, making this trail system ideal for newer riders and equally fun for experienced riders looking for long, fast, XC miles.

The Ride Plan

If you’ve never ridden Copper Chief, Quail Springs, or Blowout, this is the perfect opportunity to check them out. Ride here often? Come show fellow VVCC members what they’ve been missing.

We’ll meet at Yavapai College at 11:00 AM and head out promptly at 11:15 AM, riding through Blowout to begin the climb up Copper Chief. Based on turnout, we’ll break into multiple groups with varying routes and distances so everyone has a great ride.

After the Ride

Stick around for post-ride subs and good company—a perfect way to wrap up a great day on the trails.
